Certified Organic Garlic Seed and Gourmet Garlic For Sale!

This endeavor all began when Big Sis (Lori) learned about crop-growing methods in foreign countries that the US imports food from (check out our Articles page). Appalled, she was motivated to research the topic. With land at both Big Sis's and Little Sis's (Toni) homes, the idea to supply locally-grown organic produce was born, investigated, and implemented.

More than just a sisterly endeavor, the entire "2 Sisters Family" (spouses, parents/grandparents, children, in-laws...all with supervision by our family pets) takes part in the garlic production from selection of the seed, preparation of the soil, planting, cultivation, harvest, and order completion. Members of our immediate families who help with the garlic farm include avid wildlife aficionados (one Wildlife Ecologist), an Agronomist and Soil Conservation specialist, former high school teachers, and technology buffs.

Playing in the dirt is "in the genes" (as well as on the jeans) at 2 Sisters Garlic! The two sisters and their husbands are all from long-time farming families. In 2011, "Big Sis" (Lori) had to back out of the day-to-day garlic operation, though she is a resource often looked to for advice.

Education is important to both sisters, and plans were in the works from the beginning to educate and encourage other local residents to grow organic crops and increase the availability of locally-grown, but transportable, organic produce. Some friends have educated themselves on organic farming and are growing organic crops. In addition to offering garlic for sale, we list garlic grown by friends/family that we know and trust.

Our certified organic garlic seed can be grown in your garden to produce fresh garlic for use in recipes, or planted as seed stock for organic garlic production. The many varieties we offer include hardnecks and softnecks from mild to spicy...certainly, there's one for your every need!
